Sharing Tips for eating well, stressing less, and nourishing a great life overall.

Welcome! I am so glad you are here.
Savvy means “shrewd and knowledgeable; having common sense and good judgment.” At Savvy Dietitian, I aim to help people who feel overwhelmed or confused by ‘popular nutrition’ advice, which then translates into excess stress over how ‘good or bad’ they are eating.  I  want to empower taking a wider-lensed and common sense approach to health and nutrition that emphasizes progress — not perfection.
The goal at Savvy Dietitian is to provide:
  • A space where all foods are welcome.
  • Smarter, not harder, ways to eat well.
  • Resources to nourish a great life that look beyond what we eat and how much we weigh.

Meredith Kleinhenz, RDN, CSG, LD

I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who is passionate about eating well and stressing less about food.

I have 20 years of experience as a Dietitian and have worked with people across the lifespan — from infants to the elderly. I am a  Board Certified Specialist in Gerontological Nutrition and for the last 15 years, I have worked, and continue to work, in a primary care clinic for frail elders.

As a volunteer leader in my field, I have served in numerous roles, including as President of the Oregon Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

My vision is a world where we honor our health by letting go of binary views on food (good/bad, etc), celebrate diet diversity, and emphasize progress, not perfection. Bon Appetit!
